Thoughts at 2 in the Morning

I wish we had the kind of relationship
where we can't keep our hands off of each other,
Or be in a room alone without going at it like rabbits,
Or even just show affection in public.
I wish that we would just spend hours
Lying in each other's arms talking about our lives,
About our pasts,
About our dreams for the future,
About every detail of everything
That is going on in our lives right now.
I wish that I didn't care so much,
And that I could just let things be the way they are,
Be happy with it.
I hope that I never loose this feeling,
The one that I get every time I'm with you,
The one that drives me insane every minute,
The one that keeps me from going crazy
(at least mostly).
I wish that things could just all be simple,
But they aren't.
